DISAPPOINTMENT IN DUSSELDORF
Dave was beaten at the first hurdle in European Tour 6 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
He lost out 1-6 to Jelle Klaasen, who was victorious at Players Championship 14 last week, despite an average over 100.
He was unable to better his last 32 performance from the previous day however, as he lost out 4-6 to the youngster from Kent.
TENSE TIE BREAK WIN IN BLACKPOOL
In one of the ties of the round, Dave narrowly defeated Jamie Caven 13-11 in the World Matchplay at the Winter Garden, Blackpool.
Despite hitting an amazing thirteen 180s, Chizzy could not keep his opponent down and the match went into a tie-break at 9-9.
With just one leg left before a potential sudden death leg, Dave found the break he needed to set up a second round match against Keegan Brown on Wednesday.
CHIZZY BATTLES THROUGH
It was another tight affair on Wednesday night as Dave won through 13-11 against Keegan Brown in the World Matchplay at the Winter Garden, Blackpool.
Chizzy lead 3-2 into the first break but an impressive session from the Isle of Wight youngster turned the match on it's head 4-6.
Dave broke twice though to tie the match at 8-8 and then held his throw to go through to face Phil Taylor in the quarter finals.
CHIZZY HAS POWER CUT
Dave was defeated 8-16 in a high scoring contest with reigning champion Phil Taylor in the World Matchplay at the WInter Garden, Blackpool.
Despite breaking in the very first leg, Chizzy found himself 3-7 down at the second break as Phil Taylor took out two 130 checkouts.
The high finishing wasn't over as 161 and 100 checkouts followed as Taylor broke the throw four times in 12 darts or less.
