FINAL GAME SET BACK FOR CHIZZY
Dave progressed through into the next round of the Grand Slam of Darts, despite losing his final group game to Scott Mitchell.
Although his place in the last 16 was assured before the match, Chizzy fell to a 1-5 defeat by the reigning BDO World Champion.
The result means that Dave finishes second in Group D and faces the winner of Group C in the first knockout round.
CHIZZY BULLIED OUT
Dave lost first knockout round of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton, losing out 7-10 to Michael Smith.
The first nine legs all went with the darts, including a 170 finish for Chizzy as the match stood at 4-5.
The next three legs were all breaks to make it 5-7 and the remaining five then went with throw as 'Bully Boy' hit nine 180's on his way to the quarter finals.
CHIZZY CHECKMATES THE KING
Dave got Grand Slam of Darts Group D off to a perfect start as he took a victory over Mervyn King 5-3.
Dubbed the 'Group of Death', also featuring world ranked number four Peter Wright, and current BDO World Champion Scott Mitchell, it was imperative to get off to a winning start, and Dave did, finally breaking throw in the seventh leg and wrapping up the match in the eighth.
PERFECT NINE FOR CHIZZY
Dave booked his place in the next round of the Grand Slam of Darts, as he progressed through Group D with one match left to spare.
He averaged just under 110 in a 5-2 victory over Peter Wright, but the story of the night came in leg three as Dave hit back to back 180s, followed by a 141 finish to hit his first televised nine dart leg.
