UP & DOWN FOR CHIZZY IN BARNSLEY
Dave had an up and down weekend at the Barnsley Metrodome for Players Championships 7 & 8.
Saturday saw him defeat Richie Edhouse before losing out to Dutchman Jermaine Wattimena.
Then on Sunday, Chizzy faired a bit better, beating Jamie Lewis, Mick McGowan and Ricky Evans before falling in the last 16 to Daryl Gurney.
ALL SQUARE IN DUBLIN FOR CHIZZY
Dave ended his three game losing run, but was unable to get over the finish line for a win at the 3Arena in Dublin.
In the first week of the Betway Premier League since the relegation of the bottom two players, Chizzy faced the recent UK Open Winner and moved into a 6-3 lead.
Three legs on the spin for Snakebite, however, saw him snatch a 6-6 draw, Dave's first of the 2017 Premier League.
CHIZZY OUTGUNNED BY MVG
Dave suffered defeat at the hands of World Champion Michael van Gerwen in the Betway Premier League at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.
Chizzy was in good form but there wasn't much he could do as the current World number one hit 50% of his doubles during an impressive display.
Despite defeat, Dave now progressed through to the second stage of the competition, after the bottom two players were eliminated.
MK FINAL FOR CHIZZY
Dave reached his first Pro Tour final since October at the MK Arena, but lost out 3-6 to two-time former World Champion Adrian Lewis.
Defeats of Richie Edhouse, Andy Jenkins, John Henderson and Mickey Mansell saw Chizzy into the last eight before further wins over Mark Webster and Alan Norris took him into the final on Players Championship 5.
Unfortunately Dave was unable to repeat the performance in Players Championship 6, losing out to Richie Burnett in round one.
