CHIZZY ROCKED IN GIBRALTAR
Dave lost out to Rob Cross 2-6 in the last 16 of the Gibraltar Darts Trophy at the Victoria Stadium at the weekend.
Entering the competition on day two, he defeated Johnny Clayton 6-4 to progress through to the final day where his opponent Cross took revenge for last weekends quarter final defeat in Germany.
DRAW NOT ENOUGH FOR CHIZZY
Dave's slim hopes of reaching the Betway Premier League Playoff were dashed, as he drew with James Wade at the GE Oil & Gas Arena in Aberdeen.
Missed doubles cost him the chance to take a 2-0 lead, but Chizzy quickly fell 2-6 behind meaning the win he needed was out of reach.
He fought back to win four consecutive legs for a 6-6 draw however, meaning he finished the second stage of the tournament unbeaten.
CHIZZY KEEPS PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE
Dave kept alive his slim chance of reaching the Betway Premier League Playoff with a victory over five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld at the Sheffield Arena.
A 7-3 victory means that he is still mathematically able to qualify for the final four, although it relys upon not only a victory for Chizzy, but a heavy defeat for 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor next week.
GERMAN SEMI FOR CHIZZY
Dave kept his recent good form, reaching the semi finals of the HappyBet European Darts Grand Prix at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen, Germany.
After defeating Matt Clark 6-3 on day two, he faced a tough draw in the last 16 against two-time World Champion Adrian Lewis but saw him off by the same scoreline.
It was 6-3 again in the quarter finals as Chizzy beat Rob Cross, before losing out in a final leg decider in the semi final to world number one Michael van Gerwen.
