FIRST DEFEAT FOR CHIZZY

Dave suffered his first defeat of the 2016 Premier League in Newcastle, as he lost 4-7 to two-time World Champion Adrian Lewis.

Lewis was on fire averaging just under 110 as he raced to a 4-0 and 6-1 lead, before Chizzy took three straight legs to close the gap to 4-6.

The comeback was not completed though, as Adrian took the eleventh leg in 12 darts to hold throw and take the match.

SOLID START TO UK OPEN QUALIFIERS

Dave reached the last 16 of UK Open Qualifier 1, at the Robin Park Arena in Wigan.

After a bye through the first round, Chizzy defeated Brett Claydon 6-3 and Arron Monk 6-2 to progress through his board.

Dave then went on to take out current world number one Michael van Gerwen 6-4 in the last 32 before he was beaten 3-6 by Rowby-John Rodriguez.

CONSISTENCY THE KEY FOR CHIZZ

Dave made it to the last 16 for the third day in a row at UK Open Qualifier 3, at the Robin Park Arena in Wigan.

Chizzy only dropped two legs in reaching that stage, after having a bye in round one, he sailed past Rocco Maes 6-1, Pete Dyos 6-0 and then Jay Foreman 6-1.

That was the end of the road for Dave though, as he fell 5-6 to Benito van de Pas.

LAST 16 AGAIN FOR CHIZZY

Dave reached the last 16 again, this time at UK Open Qualifier 2, at the Robin Park Arena in Wigan.

After a bye in the first round, Chizzy was victorious over Jeffrey de Zwaan 6-4, Michael van der Horst 6-4 in his group, then defeated Joey ten Berge 6-1 in the following match.

Dave was then stopped in his tracks by Simon Whitlock, as he lost out 4-6.
